A dysfunctional Scrum team can lead to misalignment, missed deadlines, and poor overall performance. In this session, we will focus on identifying the common signs of dysfunction within a Scrum team, such as lack of accountability, poor communication, low trust, and conflicts between team members. We will break down the root causes of these dysfunctions, whether they stem from misunderstandings about roles, resistance to Agile practices, or deep-seated interpersonal conflicts.

This session will provide Scrum Masters and team members with practical techniques for addressing dysfunction head-on. We will cover strategies for resolving conflicts, fostering a culture of trust, and encouraging open communication among team members. Additionally, we will explore how to restore collaboration and improve performance by addressing both the human and process-related challenges teams face. The role of the Scrum Master as a mediator and servant leader will be highlighted, providing participants with tools to create a safe space for resolving issues within the team.

By the end of the session, participants will have developed a plan for diagnosing and addressing dysfunctions within their own teams. Through group exercises and case studies, participants will practice applying conflict resolution techniques, rebuilding trust, and promoting team accountability. This session will leave attendees better equipped to transform struggling teams into high-performing, cohesive units.
