This session will kick off with a deep dive into the foundations of Scrum, including its core values (Commitment, Focus, Openness, Respect, and Courage), the roles of Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Development Team, and the key events that structure a Sprint. We will examine how each of these elements contributes to building a self-organizing, collaborative, and efficient Scrum team.
Understanding these roles and events is critical for implementing Scrum effectively. The Scrum Guide emphasizes the importance of these core elements as non-negotiable aspects of Scrum. Each element serves a specific purpose, from Sprint Planning to Daily Scrums and Sprint Reviews, ensuring that the Scrum framework promotes inspection, adaptation, and transparency.
Through practical exercises and discussions, participants will learn how to apply these values and roles within their teams, ensuring that each team member is aligned with Scrum’s principles. We will also address common challenges, such as ensuring that the roles are clearly defined and adhered to, and how teams can benefit from living the values in day-to-day operations.
